Customers outside the UK will normally be contacted by customs for import/ customs clearance.  Therefore if you are based outside the UK please ensure that you are contactable on the telephone number you provided.

For Artworks:

From 1st January 2021, all private customers from the EU will have to pay local VAT charges at point of import.
For customers based in the EU we will no longer add UK VAT at the rate of 20%, and there will not be any duty charges to pay, so the total tax due will sometimes be less than 20% (depending on your local rate). For more information please refer to the following guidance;

For customers based in the US business continues as normal without any disruption. Customers normally have to fill out CBP form 5106 or confirm their tax status verbally with the courier, but do not normally have to pay import taxes. Please note that this guidance is correct to the best of our knowledge but we will not be held responsible for misleading information.  Therefore please check with your local tax office wherever possible to check whether import duties will apply. If duty or sales tax is applicable we will always try to give the customer prior notification, but the customer is still responsible for all customs and import charges (as stated in out terms and conditions here). For Books:

We understand that shipments to private individuals in the following countries should not incur duty or sales tax;
United States – all book orders are duty free
Australia – single standard books are duty free
Hong Kong – single standard books are duty free
New Zealand – single standard books are duty free
Singapore – single standard books are duty free

For customers based in the EU there will not be any duty charges or export VAT to pay, but import VAT according to the destination country will be due to customs.
