‘Wonderland Selected Works’ exhibition at SW1 gallery London

So the exhibition went ahead and it looked more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. I’m sitting here in an exhausted heap unable to write much at all because I have to go through the whole process again in 2 days time when we launch it at Quaglino’s in Mayfair. Currently the exhibition is in storage and will be installed on the 19th. The Private view at SW1 was a complete blur, there were too many friends and loved ones who I hadn’t seen for so long it was overwhelming. So many people came to the gallery in the week I ended up giving little talks to groups about all the things we had been through to create the pictures. Some people had been following the project for years and it was fascinating to hear their thoughts on the the images and what they saw in them. There were mums and daughters, families with babies, lots of students, through to business men andย  grannies!ย  The mix of people was so exciting for me …. to think all these different walks of life had come to see my work felt truly precious. Anyway, I need to write more, and I will, but for now I’m just sharing the pictures. I’m sure almost anymore reading this will have already seen them on the facebook fan page over the weekend, but I’m trying to keep this diary up to date after all the huge gaps I have to fill in from the last 4 months ! So more come, but until then here are photos and a quick little video too (I looks totally exhausted in it , oh dear, cringe cringe …..! )

And then of course some cringy photos of me, I still really struggle with having my picture taken nowadays ….

(Queen picture is really bleached out by the gallery lights here, but I love standing next to my new (unreleased) picture ‘The Ghost Swift’

and then a few little shots of Elbie. I absolutely love the one below :)))

Most of Katie’s family came to the private view as poor Katie was away working. love this picture of them all together by her photo ๐Ÿ™‚

Tim Andrews standing next to his picture as the King of Wonderland ๐Ÿ˜‰

And finally Natasha shanding next to her picture as ‘Danaus’ The butterfly queen (with new blonde hair !)

Oh and I forgot the amazing King costume in his box that looked so beautiful –

There are so many photos from the night, its too much to post here, but you can see the rest of them on the facebook fan page here

And to end this entry I have the Quaglino’s poster to add! This is where Wonderland will be in London for the next 2 months, fingers crossed for the launch night this week on the 20th. x
